John Skeet Crane Hire.

 A hirer who has the relevant expertise to have a lifting operation carried out under CPA Plant Hire Terms and Conditions has the following responsibilities to fulfil:-

• Undertake all work as per British Standard 7121 ‘Safe Use of Cranes’.
• Comply with LOLER (Lifting Operation & Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998).
• Comply with all other current and relevant legislation.
• Supply a qualified Appointed Person.
• Supply a slinger (unless hired from John Skeet Crane Hire).
• Assess suitable craneage requirements.
• Undertake a suitable and sufficient:-
• Risk Assessment
• Method Statement
• Lifting Plan
• Provide a Competent person to Supervise the lift.
• Check the credentials and certifications of the crane hire company.
• Hold adequate and appropriate insurance cover against any and all liabilities including damage to the crane and equipment whilst contracted to them.

To ensure safety of all persons and compliance with all relevant standards, regulations and approved codes of practice you must be able to fulfil all the above criteria.  In the absence of all criteria being met then you should opt for the CPA Contract Lift Conditions.
